Local Girl Scouts make donation to North Hills Foundation

Girl Scout troops from North Rolling Hills and West Perry recently shared the spirit of service with a generous donation to the North Hills Foundation. Troop leader Julia Perkins dropped off the donations at North Hills High School on Thursday, December 18.

The funds were raised through the troops’ 7th annual Cookie Walk, held December 14 at Hiland Presbyterian Church. This annual charitable event brings together Girl Scouts from the North Hills School District and Holy Cross Academy with a shared goal of giving back to their neighbors across the North Hills and Greater Pittsburgh community.

Proceeds from the Cookie Walk were used to purchase items for the North Hills Foundation's Backpack Initiative and Pantry, along with much-needed supplies for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Pittsburgh area. Those donations will be distributed by Light in My City.
